Graduation 2010

The success of CPC lies in the success of our students. We are so pleased to have three new associate's degree recipients and more than a dozen other students who have successfully completed their work at CPC and have transferred to other institutions of higher learning. It is through the dedicated work of our talented faculty and staff that the appropriate preparation of these students qualifies them for academic transfer and job placement.

Accreditation

Since our inception as a new campus, California Preparatory College (CPC) has striven to comply and operate with the highest standards in mind. As such, CPC has sought to become compliant with all regulations set by the State of California and our future accrediting bodies. CPC is currently an applicant institution with a United States Department of Education approved accrediting body. In June 2009, CPC will have met the two year time requirement to obtain candidate status pending the site evaluation of the accreditation team.

While CPC moves from applicant to candidate status, students completing or in the process of completing their program will be able to transfer to accredited colleges or universities through three venues;

• Starting during the 08-09 school year an agreement with an accredited university now allows for clear and easy transferability wherever accredited transcripts are required
• Pre-arranged agreements with our most popular transfer school
• For students attending schools without pre-arranged agreements, CPC has documented the quality of our programs and faculty and received 100% transferability

These three avenues to attend the school of your choice will remain in place until CPC obtains its own stand alone accreditation. CPC's faculty and staff are committed to you! We will work to transfer all students to the school of their choice on a case by case basis.

SEVIS

California Preparatory College is approved by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) for the delivery of:

• Associate of Arts (A.A.)
• Business
• General Studies
• Associate of Science (A.S.)
• Health Science
• General Science
• Western Healthcare Practice and Communication (WHPC)
• English as a Second Language (ESL)

SEVP approval means that CPC has been reviewed and met the requirement of the DHS and has been approved to offer the above programs. Prospective CPC students will be able to receive CPC I-20’s and student visas.

DHS approval marks a significant milestone in the history of CPC and allows CPC the opportunity to provide a unique and affordable private Christian education to international students.
